The delegation was also joined by Mr. Pham Phu Truong, Deputy Director of the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC C4IR). The Centre is the city's focal point for international cooperation in industrial transformation, innovation, and high technology, and is also the unit assigned by the HCMC People's Committee to lead the organization of the Autumn Economic Forum 2025.
The visit is of great significance in strengthening political-diplomatic ties, promoting international economic cooperation, and mobilizing the participation of state leaders, ministers, and leading global corporations in the high-level dialogues at this year's Forum.
Strengthening international advocacy and expanding strategic cooperation with WEF
In Geneva, Switzerland, the delegation held an official working session with the World Economic Forum (WEF). Mr. Stephan Mergenthaler, Managing Director of WEF, received and held discussions with the Vietnamese delegation in an atmosphere of open, constructive, and strategic cooperation.
During the session, the two sides discussed future cooperation directions and agreed to promote joint initiatives on smart manufacturing and responsible industrial transformation in Vietnam – a field that aligns with HCMC's industrial development orientation and the Forum's theme, "Green Transformation in the Digital Age."

Mobilizing attendance for Autumn Economic Forum 2025 and learning from international forum organization experience
In addition to the working program with WEF, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang and the delegation held bilateral meetings with leaders, ministers, and senior officials from Switzerland, the Netherlands, and many other European nations. These meetings aimed to attract the interest and attendance of government leaders, businesses, and international organizations at the Autumn Economic Forum 2025, while also exchanging and learning from experiences in organizing large-scale international economic forums.
The partners highly praised Vietnam's and HCMC's initiative in organizing this year's Forum. They also expressed interest in attending the policy dialogues and 1:1 dialogues, as well as in long-term cooperation on the themes of green transformation, innovation, and sustainable development.

Affirming HCMC's pioneering role in industrial transformation and innovation
With the theme "Green Transition in the Digital Age," the Autumn Economic Forum 2025 affirms the commitment of Vietnam and HCMC to building a smart economy, promoting green transition, and sustainable development.
