On July 24, 2026, the Vietnam Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC C4IR) successfully organized the “Consultation Conference on the Draft Plan to Promote Smart Manufacturing in Ho Chi Minh City for the Period Through 2035.”
On 24 July 2026, the Vietnam Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC C4IR) successfully organized the “Consultation Conference on the Draft Plan to Promote Smart Manufacturing in Ho Chi Minh City for the Period Through 2035.”
The Conference brought together more than 90 delegates representing government departments and agencies, research institutes, universities, major associations, experts in manufacturing, automation, science and technology, and innovation, as well as leaders of prominent enterprises.
Their diverse expertise created a multidimensional forum that connected perspectives from public administration and academic research with real-world manufacturing and business practices.

During the Conference, delegates discussed the current manufacturing landscape of enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), along with the difficulties and challenges they face and their needs for support in technology, human resources, finance, infrastructure, policy, and knowledge. The discussions also addressed the role of smart manufacturing in responsible industrial transformation and proposed solutions, mechanisms, and action programs for consideration in the City’s Smart Manufacturing Promotion Plan through 2035. Delegates also provided feedback on the key components of the Draft Plan.
